2007 GCEPD events
This is a brief overview of the activities and events of the GCEPD in 2007
- We continue to publish our newsletter on a bi-monthly basis. You may sign up to receive this by clicking on the "Subscribe to our Newsletter" link on the home page. Issues are archived in the "Abilities" newsletter folder on our home page.
- Are you looking for a speaker or presentation for your organization? In 2007 the GCEPD will be proud to bring our message to you and your members or employees in the form of an interactive, 30 minute presentation and discussion. Our goal? To help you understand the myths, realities, and resources associated with employing individuals with disabilities. You may also find us on a public television station near you!
- The 2006 Governor's Awards will be presented in the Fall of 2007. Stay tuned for further details.
- Are you an employer grappling with finding and retaining qualified and reliable employees? We want to hear more about your needs and concerns, so that we can best provide you with the staffing solutions you are looking for. We intend to use some of our meetings this year to provide you with a platform for discussing those issues that concern you most.
- Once again we carry out our outreach mission by bringing our educational display booth to various venues. Opportunities in 2007 include the Vermont Business & Industry Expo in Burlington on May 23 and 24, and the annual conference of the Vermont and New Hampshire chapters of the Society for Human Resources on September 18th in Burlington.
